Gogyre Power Banks

Power banks are one of my favorite pieces of technology. Gogyre makes two different banks. I got both the G5300 and the G10600. The G5300 is small and easily portable. I love to throw it in my purse. My phone doesn't stay charged very long, so it is imperative that I have a portable battery at all times. It charges my phone quickly and lasts a long time, and the battery itself charges up quickly when plugged into the same adapter I use for my lightning cable.

The G10600 is amazing as well. It is bigger but holds more power. I am also able to charge my phone and my DSLR at the same time, which is FANTASTIC! Normally, I would be carrying around a whole bag of batteries! I am very pleased with both of these batteries.
I give these power banks 4 out of 5 stars.

Guitars and Guitar Accessories

I received a guitar as a gift for Christmas because I have always wanted to learn how to play. I watched lots and lots of YouTube videos and was able to play a few chords. Then I searched for songs to learn...but every one I wanted to play used a capo. Thus began my search for a capo.

A capo is an instrument used to shorten the playable length of the guitar strings, hence raising the pitch. The capo I have is from G-Sharp. It's a spring-clamp capo, with two bars. A rubber one to barre the strings, and a plastic one that presses against the back of the neck of the instrument to hold the rubber bar in place. The bars are attached at grips, pressed together by a spring.

When squeezed together this pulls the two bars apart, so one can quickly release the capo's grip to apply or adjust the capo. This capo is lightweight and is easy to remove and reposition with just one hand.

The back bar rested against the back of the neck of my acoustic guitar perfectly. It stayed in place, even if I bumped it a tad. It had a strong hold. The rubber bar also rested on all six strings perfectly. I loved the higher pitch. The notes sounded great. Not flat, no buzzing. The construction was good. The capo is made of a plastic that seems quite durable.

I don't know how a professional or seasoned musician would feel about this capo, but as a beginner I love it. I didn't need anything to fancy since I am only learning. This capo served it's purpose for me. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I did not receive the gold pick that was advertised as a free gift on Amazon, so that's a bit of a bummer. I would definitely recommend this to guitar students or beginners, and even to musicians who would like to have some spare capos around.

Delicious Vahdam Loose Teas

I love tea! I drink it all day everyday. I love trying out new brands and flavors. Vahdam Tea is packed right at it's source in India, as fresh as you can get! It's organic and fair trade. The tea is made without any artificial ingredients or oils. I like the sound of this! I tried two flavors: Black Darjeerling and Green Masala Chai.

Singbulli Special Darjeeling Black Tea

This tea comes in a nice simple package that is resealable. When you open it, you are hit with a lovely fresh aroma. I use one teaspoon of leaves in an infuser for one cup of tea and let it steep for 5 minutes.

The scent and color are very nice. I have enjoyed every cup I have made. I drink a lot of tea throughout the day and I really like this one. The flavor is delicious. It's just strong enough for my liking. It's more flavorful than the Darjeerling that comes in teabags at the grocery store.

Darjeeling Loose Leaf Masala Chai Tea

Like the Black tea, the Green comes in a simple package. Upon opening this one, you get the spicy aroma of cloves, cardamon and cinnamon. Again, add one teaspoon of leaves to your infuser for one cup of tea and let it steep for 5 minutes.
The spicy scent is heavenly. I make this one in the evening. The flavor is perfect for me, just enough of the spice I like but not overpowering. I like that it is a Green chai, and that it is loose leaf. I enjoy it more than the chai teabags from the grocery store.

I enjoyed both of these teas. I prefer loose tea to bagged tea, and these are a pretty good value compared to the loose tea I see at the grocery store. I would purchase these teas and recommend it.

Everlasting Star Paint Brushes

This set of brushes from Everlasting Star comes with 15 brushes of various sizes plus a carrying case with a pop up stand to help with drying. These brushes have long handles. I tested them with Acrylics and Watercolors. The coating on the bristles was easily removed after soaking in water, but the case absolutely reeked. I washed it twice with soap and water and let it dry thoroughly and I can still smell it from across the room.

The brush types include:

- Filbert Brush - Sizes 9, 4
- Angle Brush - Sizes 12, 10, 5, 2
- Round Brush - Sizes 8, 7, 3, 1, 1/0
- Flat Brush - Sizes 11, 6
- Fan Brush - Size 0
- Rigger Brush - Size 3/0

The handles were very comfortable to hold. The brushes held paint well, and laid the paint down nicely. I enjoying using them. I usually use much smaller brushes, but I kept reaching for these. The didn't lose any fibers and didn't tear up my paper. They were also easy to clean.

I would recommend these brushes for artists, students, crafters, and kids. I would give these brushes 4 out of 5 stars. I love them and they work nicely, but the case still smells awful.
