Diamond Studded Leather Headband

I won tickets to see Guns N' Roses last month. I wish I had found this rad diamond studded leather headband a little bit earlier. It would have been the perfect accessory for my wild, teased out, unruly hair that night. 

As a lover of Rock and Roll, leather is almost always a part of my outfit. In the hot summer months, a headband is much more comfortable than my leather jacket. As a woman that loves shiny things, the diamond studs are a great feminine, dressy touch. This headband is a Win/Win!

This headband is made of genuine leather, with the typical leather scent. The faux diamond studs are a good size and they are so sparkly! They are attached securely and the backs are covered. 

The inside of the headband is lined with polyester. It keeps the diamond stud backs away from your hair. It also is a comfortable fabric to have against your head. The elastic is a bit on the bigger end for me. I have to wear the band all the way forward to keep it in place the longest. Nothing a safety pin or a sewing kit can't fix. 

This headband is great quality, it's durable, and really cute. Let's not forget the sparkles!

Ordering From China is Like a Box of Chocolates. You Never Know What You're Going to Get.

I am a huge lover of minerals. Not only because my name is Crystal, but because they are beautiful to look at, and I love that you can put healing energy into them. Even if it's only a placebo effect, it's a nice way to relax, for me anyway. I have been collecting crystal jewelry since I was a child. My name is Crystal, it became a theme. I saw this gold dipped quartz necklace and had to have it. I don't wear much gold, therefore have never owned any golden mineral pieces.

When this necklace arrived, I was surprised by it's size. It was ginormous! I don't usually wear such large pieces, but I was willing to make it work. Then I noticed how unattractive this piece was. There was a gouge in the front, and almost half of the back of the quartz was gone. You could even see strips of the gold paint running down the back. I was so disappointed.

 I wrote to the company and they apologized and quickly sent me a new necklace.The first necklace was delivered by Amazon, the second came all the way from China itself. I opened the second package, and the new quartz was half the size of the first. I was okay with this. The sheer size of the first one was stunning, but I'm sure it wouldn't be very comfortable to wear. The second necklace was much more reasonable.

The chains on these are long, thin, light and cheap feeling, but they look nice. The color is nice, and I love the extra detail in the chain. The clasp holding the crystal itself is also pretty cheap. I would be very gentle with this necklace. There is a thin layer of gold, kind of haphazardly painted onto the top of these necklaces. It's not very even, and the tops of them are pretty jagged.

I took a photo of another crystal necklace with a silver top to show the difference in quality. I bought the silver one at the Museum of Science for $10, about 15 years ago. The quartz itself is a bit cloudy and banged up, but you can only tell from close inspection. From a distance I love the necklace. The chain length is great. The second crystal's size is perfect, and the weight is good. I'll just be sure to be mindful of it, in case the chain breaks.

I give this necklace 3 out of 5 stars. There are a few cons, but I still like it and I will wear it. Just be weary, like most things ordered from China, you might be in for a surprise, like completely different sized products, or ones that vary from the product photo. The company did send me a replacement, so their customer service was good, but I had to wait a lot longer than the usual two day shipping I get with Amazon Prime. I wouldn't order this if I needed it quickly.

The 3 R's! Rescue Respect Repeat!

Arm The Animals is a rad company that creates unique, witty, thought-provoking apparel and donates a portion of the proceeds to animal rescues! How awesome is that! I already love their Catastrophe 2.0 tank, so I came back for more. I am digging the Respect Repeat (3 R's) Slim Graphic Tank from their Amazon store.

Let's talk quality first. This tank is 100% and super soft. A++ for Comfort! This tank is a Slim Fit top. As a curvier lady, I was nervous that the XL would be too tight. According to the size chart, the XL top's Bust was 36" and Hips was 38". My Bust is 43" in a tight fitting sports bra. My Hips are 44.5". This top fit fine. It wasn't even tight. I was so glad because it's a great top! 

The only thing I don't love about this top is that it's very sheer. I can see the brand name of my sports bra, and my tattoos clearly through the fabric. I'll definitely have to wear an undershirt to keep from revealing too much of myself in public. However, it will be perfect for yoga, beach trips, and pajamas. The top is durable and the print is great quality, and still perfect after a few washes.

Jade Bangles

My good friend Karen has worn a jade bangle from China for many many years. I have always admired it, and wanted one of my own. When I had the opportunity to grab one to review, I jumped on it. I absolutely love this bangle. It looks and feels great. Jade carries energies for love, healing, money, and protection. Here's to hoping it brings all those energies my way. 

The bangle I ordered was the light green. Parma 77 has Jade bangles in a few different colors. It comes in a cute gift box topped with a bow and the bangle is stored inside a gorgeous cloth bag. It makes a perfect gift.

You need to make sure you measure your wrist before you order. You need to squish these over your hand. It is thick and heavy. I ordered one size up because my size was on the higher end of small, and I wanted to be sure it would fit me. I've been using soap on my hand to slide this on and off, and I haven't had any problems. I am happy with the medium size. I feel the small would have been a lot harder to get over my thumb's knuckle.



The jade itself is beautiful. The bangle is thicker than the ones I usually see, but I like it. It's got some weight to it, but not too much. It feels quite durable. The jade is light green and slightly translucent. I can see some white and pink lines inside. It is very unique. I wear it frequently and have received many compliments. Just make sure you measure before you buy. I give this bangle 5 out of 5 stars.

Cute Cat Clothes for a Cause!

Arm The Animals is an great company that creates unique, witty, thought-provoking apparel and donates a portion of the proceeds to animal rescues! How awesome is that! I just had to check them out. I am in LOVE with this Catastrophe 2.0 Racer Back Tank Top from their Amazon store. 

Let's talk quality first. This Tri-Blend tank is 50% Ring spun cotton, 25% Polyester, and 25% Rayon. It is the softest shirt I have ever worn. A++ for Comfort! This tank runs on the bigger side. As a woman of larger size, I was nervous that the XL would be too tight. 

According to the size chart, the XL top's Bust was 38" and Hips was 43.5". My Bust is over 42" in a tight fitting sports bra. My Hips are also a few inches bigger, yet this top was loose. I was thrilled! I would rather have a loose top than one I can't wear. I tied a little knot in the back of the tank to tighten it up a bit. Now it fits perfect, and has a little DIY twist! 

Have I mentioned how soft this is!? If it wasn't in the negative degrees here in New England I would be rocking this for more than just yoga. I can't wait for summer!
